It is now four games without a win for Swansea City, who were defeated by Fulham by two goals to one at the Liberty Stadium on Friday night.

Steve Cooper's side would have been desperate to return to winning ways on Friday, after being held to a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town in midweek.

But on Friday evening, they came up short against a real promotion contender in Fulham, who displayed their true quality and proved to be too much for the Swans.

Two quickfire goals in the first-half from the league's top goalscorer Aleksandar Mitrovic fired the Cottagers into a 2-0 lead, rounding off what had been an impressive opening 45 minutes for the away side.

George Byers did grab a goal back for City after a dangerous Barrie McKay cross - the latter making his first Championship start of the campaign.

The Scottish winger has found game-time hard to come by this term, making just three appearances before Friday night, with all of those coming in the Carabao Cup.

He grabbed an assist on his return to the side, but his performance still divided opinions among the Swans faithful, after failing to properly get into the game and missing a golden chance to level the game in stoppage time.
