According to reports from reputable journalist Alan Nixon, Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic have made an enquiry for Nottingham Forest defender Tendayi Darikwa.

The 27-year-old was a regular for the Reds last season, making 31 appearances in all competitions and battling the likes of Sam Byram and Saidy Janko for a place at right-back.

The former Chesterfield man has made over 60 appearances for Forest since his move from Burnley two years ago, and looks set to start the new season as their first-choice right-back, with no other backup options at the club at present.

But now, according to Nixon, Wigan have made an enquiry about the right-back, as they search for a replacement for former Chelsea loanee Reece James who was named in the Championship Team of the Season last term.

Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton is also believed to be on Wigan boss Paul Cook's radar should Forest choose to keep hold of Darikwa, however this potential departure has certainly divided the City Ground faithful.

Here, we take a look at their reactions to this news...
