Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has taken on a brave new look after the club secured the Championship title on Sunday afternoon.

After beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park, the second-tier's top goalscorer had his hair cut into mohawk as part of the celebrations, a look shared by right-back Max Aarons on his Instagram story.

Pukki opened the scoring for the visiting Canaries on Sunday afternoon, lurking in the box to tap home Onel Hernandez's cross, but Jonathan Kodjia levelled things for the hosts just seven minutes later, finishing smartly following a Conor Hourihane free-kick.

And the match looked set to end in a draw before Mario Vrancic added another long-range goal to his collection, arrowing a shot into the bottom corner from outside the box to steel all the points.

It was a match that saw the Finnish striker take his season tally to 29 league goals and the club's season tally to 93 goals, six more than anybody else.

The verdict

I cannot see him sticking with this look for too long!

But you can only assume it was part of a dressing room wager which I am sure Pukki will be more than happy to accept now his side have been promoted.

He has been outstanding all season and it will be interesting to see if he can now make the step up into the Premier League.
