Sunday afternoon sees Daniel Farke’s men travel to Portman Road to take on Paul Hurst's Tractor Boys in what is dubbed by the club’s fans as the 'Old Farm' derby.

The Canaries head into the game on the back of a 3-0 league defeat at the hands of early pacesetters Leeds United.

Midweek saw a turn up for the books when Farke’s men saw off Premier League Cardiff City in the League Cup, dispatching their higher league opposition 3-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night.

German striker Denis Srbeny could be in line for a start after his brace in midweek, while Emiliano Buendia is also pushing for a start out wide.

Ipswich, on the other hand, come into the derby rock bottom of the Championship having not won a game so far this season.

A 2-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend rooted them to the foot of the table after five games.

Expect Norwich to make changes to their starting XI as the league resumes while Ipswich search for that winning formula to get their season going.

With that said, here’s the starting XI we expect Daniel Farke to field at Portman Road on Sunday as his Canaries take on Ipswich in the East Anglian derby.

Despite being at fault for one of the goals against Leeds -getting beaten at his near post - expect the former Holland international to be recalled to the starting XI having been rested in the League Cup win over Cardiff City.

Another of the rested players in the win in the League Cup, Ivo Pinto is expected to be recalled ahead of the East Anglian derby to take on Ipswich Town this Sunday.

Pinto has impressed this season from the right-back slot.

Captain Grant Hanley is set to be given a starting birth after he too was rested against Cardiff.

The defender has been one of Norwich’s better performers this season so far, featuring in all five league games and scoring once.

After speculation of a move away, and having missed the cup tie on Tuesday night, Timm Klose is expected to reclaim his position next to Grant Hanley at the heart of the Canaries defence.

Klose has been ever-present in the league for Norwich so far this season.

Jamal Lewis was rested much like many of the main Norwich side and missed the win over Cardiff in midweek.

Having played three times this season so far, all in the league, expect the 20-year-old to be recalled to the left-back spot for this Sunday’s derby against Ipswich Town.

Tom Trybull impressed in midweek and has played in all of Norwich’s league and cup fixtures this season.

Expect the German midfielder to retain his place in the side for the trip to Portman Road on Sunday afternoon.

Alex Tetty is expected to retain his place in the side after impressing in the 3-1 win against Cardiff on Tuesday.

In truth, the midfielder has been effervescent for the Canaries this season at the rage of 32-years-old.

He has featured in four of the five league matches so far and looks set to command a midfield place alongside Tom Trybull.

Having only played 42 minutes in the league this season Emiliano Buendia was handed a start and played 83 minutes in the cup win over Cardiff.

The midfielder impressed for Daniel Farke’s men in midweek and you would expect him to retain his place after a solid showing against top-flight opposition.

Having scored twice on the opening weekend of the season, Onel Hernandez has cemented a place in the side playing in all five of Norwich’s league games and once in the League Cup against Stevenage.

Hernandez was rested against Cardiff, but expect him to be recalled this weekend.

The forward was rested on Tuesday and has scored three goals in six appearances in all competitions for the Canaries.

Teemu Pukki is the club’s top goalscorer this season, and you would expect a recall for the Finland international for this weekend's trip to face Ipswich Town.

The striker has two goals to his name for Norwich this season and has formed a decent partnership with Teemu Pukki.

Despite Denis Srbeny's brace is midweek Jordan Rhodes is expected to return to the starting line-up to ahead of a meeting with his former club this weekend.
