Leeds United have come a long way under Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites finished 13th in the season before the 64-year-old arrived at the club, 15 points from the play-off places.

Bielsa transformed them into promotion candidates almost instantly, finishing third in his first season in charge but slipping to defeat against Derby County in the play-offs.

Leeds are competing at the very top of the Championship once again in the 2018/19 campaign. 15 games into the season they sit third–two points back from league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

Despite their new-found success, it appears fans of the Yorkshire club still look back at the pre-Bielsa era with some fondness.

A Leeds United supporter group on Facebook has shared a throwback image of some members of the Whites squad from three years ago–remarking just how much the side has changed.

Former Leeds players such as Souleymane Doukara and Rob Green feature in the photo, as do current squad members including Kalvin Phillips and Luke Ayling.

The image appears to have drawn discussion from many supporters of the Yorkshire club, with most reflecting on how much the side had changed.

Here is a look at some reaction…

Carol Riley "A lot happens in three years, hardly any of these left in the team."

Ben Sissman "Kalvin looks about 12!"

Hadyn Bowler "Ayling, Phillips & Berardi that's it I think"

Riccardo Buxton "What a team this was though"

Garon Harrison "The Duke's goal against Forest was a rocket"

Raymond Jones "The team has changed so much in the last couple of years MOT ALAW"
