Stoke City travelled to bottom club Ipswich Town this weekend, looking to get three points and a confidence boost to take them forward in the season.

They're stranded in mid table mediocrity, neither likely to go up nor down. A game against the division's worst side represented a fine chance to gain momentum in their development under Nathan Jones, but instead they limped to a 1-1- draw.

The likelihood is that Ipswich will be playing League One football next season, but aside from one moment of truly awful defending there was little between the two teams.

It will serve as a real warning to Potters fans who have seen their club fall out of the Premier League and fail to assert any sort of dominance in the second-tier.

The draw, courtesy of Will Kane's late leveller, means Stoke have won just once in 12 matches, that coming against Leeds United. Whilst they're still 11 points clear of the drop zone, there's an unhealthy atmosphere around the bet365 Stadium which isn't conducive to positive, attacking football.

Manager Nathan Jones is coming under increasing fire, despite being new to the job. Here's some of the backlash on social media this morning.
