According to the Sheffield Star, Chelsea and Sheffield United could reach multiple agreements on sending players on loan to Bramall Lane this summer.

In Chris Wilder, the Blades have one of the best British managers outside of the top flight and his work with young players has certainly proven impressive.

He's helped coax David Brooks into being one of the most talked about young players in the second tier whilst the likes of Jamal Blackman - familiar to Chelsea fans - has also done well in the Steel City.

And, with that in mind and the fact that the Blades' and Blues' senior staff are apparently getting on nicely, it looks as though more loans could see Chelsea players head further north.

Blackman could head back to Bramall Lane once again for the new campaign whilst some of his fringe player team-mates at the Bridge could also join him with talks apparently already being held.

The Verdict

This would be a good arrangement for all involved.

Chelsea see their players earn good experience, the players should improve under a great manager in Chris Wilder and the Blades get some talented hungry youngsters to spur them on.

Let's see what pans out.
