Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke has been called up to the Scotland squad for the first time in his career.
Burke is set to make his debut in Scotland’s two friendlies this month against Denmark and the Czech Republic.
Scotland manager, Gordan Strachan has been impressed with the player’s progress with the Championship club this season that has earned him a call up to the squad.
The youngster has emerged into the Forest squad after Freedman gave some of the academy players the chance to shine in the first-team, after the club was placed under a transfer embargo this season.
Burke has been one of those stand-out players to burst through the under 21 squad this season – appearing 13 times and netting twice for the club.
The winger has not played since mid-February for Forest due to a wrist injury, but will be raring to go when Scotland travel to Prague to face the Czech Republic.
