Adomah looks set to depart Boro

The talented winger is said to have held talks with Boro boss Aitor Karanka and  he is set to leave the Riverside before the transfer window shuts.

Speculation on Adomah's future at Boro has increasingly grown after the player was left out of Saturday's side that lost at home to Bristol City, with Joe Bryan giving the away side the lead in the 8th minute.

Adomah has been a constant star in the Middlesbrough side since joining from Bristol City back in 2013, making an impressive 85 appearances and scoring 17 goals.

The Ghanian winger has seen his Boro career somewhat stall after the signings of Stewart Downing and Diego Fabbrini, along with the emergence of winger Yanic Wildschut and could be set to leave the club in search for top-flight football.

The 27-year old winger has been heavily courted by an amass of Premier League clubs this summer, having stood out as one of Boro's key players last season, guiding the club to a play-off final.

Clubs including West Brom, Norwich, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham have all kept a keen eye on Adomah as they look to strengthen before the window slams shut.

Whether Karanka will allow Adomah to leave the Riverside is unknown, but after dropping the star this Saturday, Karanka's patience could well be up.

Even with the club needing players of his ilk to again challenge for promotion this season, Boro could be set to cash in on Adomah to allow further investment in key areas of of the squad.
