Garry Monk will have been exceptionally pleased with Middlesbrough’s form heading into the international break, with the Teessiders putting together a string of excellent results to move into the Sky Bet Championship’s play-off zone.

Boro are sitting in fifth heading into this weekend’s fixtures, and will be looking to maintain their excellent form this weekend at Elland Road, with Monk’s side currently preparing for a clash with Leeds United.

Sunday’s clash between Boro and Leeds will put full focus on Monk, who will be returning to Elland Road for the first time since leaving the Whites over the summer to move to the Riverside Stadium.

Despite Sunday’s clash, Monk has taken time away from the training field this week, spending time with Middlesbrough’s partners, Ramsdens. The 38-year-old took to Twitter last night, tweeting a picture of himself in protective clothing following his afternoon with Ramsdens.
