According to Alan Nixon from the Sun, Huw Jenkins is looking for a bit more time before deciding to take the reins at Charlton Athletic, with Addicks fans desperate for some good news in that department.

Whilst the men from The Valley have seen the ultimate prize of the season getting the green light to continue, there are still other issues that need ironing out.

Lyle Taylor is set to play no more part in the current campaign with him telling Lee Bowyer he doesn't want to risk injury ahead of a potential move elsewhere, whilst the ownership fiasco is rumbling on.

Many would like to see Jenkins arrive given the job he did at Swansea but, after a fan asked Nixon for any update, it appeared as though there might be more waiting to be had at the moment.

Addicks fans must have more patience than most and it has certainly been pushed to the limit in recent years as their club has gone through the mill.

Jenkins coming in and providing some stability would be welcome but, until the ink is dry on such a deal, few fans will be counting their chickens.
