Premier League outfit West Ham United are the latest top-tier side to have Reading midfielder John Swift on their radar ahead of a potential move, according to the ExWHUemployee who spoke on the West Ham Way podcast.

The 26-year-old has been the subject of widespread interest from teams in the English first division in recent months and with good reason, recording eight goals and nine assists in 22 Championship displays so far for the Royals this term.

Spending much of last season absent with injury troubles, he has re-established himself as a key asset at the Select Car Leasing Stadium and just in time to impress enough to secure a move away with his contract in Berkshire coming to an end at the end of the season.

With his goal contributions this term, reports that he has rejected a new contract at his current side and Velkjo Paunovic's men set to be under tight financial restrictions beyond the end of this season, it's looking more and more likely that he will be heading to the top flight in the summer instead of extending just stay in Reading.

However, many supporters of the Championship club are desperate to see their talisman remain at the club during this month with the Royals currently in a relegation scrap and needing points on the board to drag themselves away from danger.

West Ham could be about to scupper their plans if they come in with a tempting offer - but are all Reading fans wanting to retain him in their quest to remain afloat in the division?

We take a look at what many of them have had to say about this latest link on Twitter.
