Leeds United midfielder Jack Clarke gave fans a huge scare yesterday after being taken ill from the bench during the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

He complained of feeling unwell during the first half of the encounter and was withdrawn at half time. As the game entered it's dying stages, Clarke collapsed on the bench and required medical treatment, holding up the encounter for ten minutes.

The 18-year-old was taken to hospital, where he remained overnight, as his teammates bagged a leveller late into added time. They remain top of the table for now, with Norwich to face Ipswich this afternoon.

This morning he's on the mend and has tweeted the Whites' fans with a positive message, thanking them for their support and for the love they've shown. The advice coming back has been universal, wishing him a speedy recovery but more importantly and underlining the scare they all had yesterday.
