The striker contributed very little as the Shakers were relegated to League Two, but he's turned that around in double quick time to become a hero on Wearside.

From offering nothing at Gigg Lane, he's become a key component in the Black Cats charge up the table and that has never been more evident than this weekend with his amazing goal against Southend United.

It was one of three Sunderland goals that won the game, but it'll stand out above all the rest. He picked up a woeful ball out of the Shrimpers defence, drove forward fifteen yard and unleashed a piledriver into the back of the net.
