West Bromwich Albion crashed out of the FA Cup last night at the hands of Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Baggies had to make do with ten men for the final 16 minutes of the match after Hal Robson-Kanu limped off with what looked to be a thigh injury.

Teams are permitted to make three substitutions in normal time, and a fourth when in extra time.

Darren Moore was unable to make any further substitutions, having made all four before the start of extra time.

Jay Rodriguez was taken off at half-time in favour of Craig Dawson and Jack Livermore, and Wes Hoolahan made way for debutants Ryan Tulloch and Morgan Rogers, respectively in normal time.

With the game heading to extra-time, Moore took off the first substitute Dawson for Ahmed Hegazi just before the added 30 minutes started.

That left Moore without any cover in the event of an injury, and that fear was played out in front of him.

It arguably cost the Baggies the cup tie having an inexperienced side out with a man less than their opponents.

And the West Brom supporters were not happy with their manager, criticising his use of the substitutions once again on social media.

Here’s what they had to say.
