Swindon Town play host to the League Two play-off semi-final first leg between the Robins and Port Vale on Sunday.

The home side finished the season 6th in the League Two table, behind Darrell Clarke’s side by just one point.

During the teams’ two league meetings during the regular campaign, the visitors took all three points on both occasions.

It was a 2-1 victory for Port Vale when these two sides previously met at the County Ground in September.

A lot has changed since then and Ben Garner’s side come into Sunday’s clash in top form, which helped secure this top seven finish.

A four game winning run earned the side a place in these play-offs, whereas Port Vale lost three games in a row before their win away to Exeter City on the final day of the regular season.

Latest team news

Swindon have no new fresh injury concerns going into Sunday afternoon’s tie.

Garner was even able to rest players in the second half of the latest win over Walsall to keep the team fresh for this big game.

That means it is likely that the hosts will name an unchanged side from last week.

Calvin Hussey will be in a fight to prove his fitness in order to start for the visitors on Sunday, with Malvind Benning waiting in the wings if needed.

Ryan Edmondson is also likely to keep his place in the lineup despite a lack of goals recently, with his previous strike coming on March 1.

Score prediction

Swindon to win 2-0.
