Swindon Town have completed the signing of 20-year old Liverpool left-back Brad Smith.
Smith joins the Robins’ on a youth loan after manager Mark Cooper has been keen to add to his side for the upcoming season, as his side look to improve on last seasons play-off defeat and gain promotion to the Championship.
Liverpool have confirmed the news on their website. Smith made his first-team debut for Liverpool against Chelsea in December 2013 after coming off the bench and was recently called up to the England U21 squad towards the end of last season.
Smith is Swindon’s third addition to the squad so far this summer, he is joined by midfielder Anton Rodgers and defender Josh Lelan, who is also on a youth loan.
