Swindon Town midfielder Massimo Luongo has joined Sky Bet Championship side Queens Park Rangers on a three-year deal, according to their official club website.
The Australian international has joined the London based club on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee and is one of the first additions to Chris Ramsey’s side in what is due to be a busy summer for the recently relegated side.
Fellow Robins midfielder Ben Gladwin is expected to sign for the Loftus Road club later on Thursday on a similar deal.
Luongo has made 12 appearances for Australia and was recently names the most valuable player of the tournament at this year’s Asia Cup.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs player is one of the hottest talents outside of top two tiers of English football and after some sparkling performances for Swindon last campaign, a move away from the League One team was always going to be on the cards.
Before joining QPR, he was also linked with a move to FA Cup finalists Aston Villa but a move never materialised.
Queens Park Rangers fans, are you happy with this signing?
