Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday's game against Bradford City, the assistant manager of EFL League Two side Swindon Town, Noel Hunt, has confirmed that the Wiltshire club are looking at free agents amid being short at the back.

Hunt revealed that centre-back Dion Conroy is possibly out for months, and that himself and Swindon manager Richie Wellens are also considering the options of having to recall youngsters Luke Haines and Joe Romanski, who are both out on loan at Chippenham Town and Melksham Town respectively.

With striker Eoin Doyle also out injured currently for the side, Hunt explained that Swindon will be fine for options up front, seemingly earmarking Kaiyne Woolery to play up front or out on the wing as Swindon look to stick with their preferred formation of 4-4-2.

Swindon are currently fifth in the League Two table with 20 points from 11 games.

The Verdict:

Conroy will be a miss for Swindon if it does turn out that he's out for months, and with Tom Broadbent not being up to scratch with his performance against Colchester as well as Haines and Romanski having minimal Football League experience, then Swindon may be forced to turn towards the free agents market.

Meanwhile, up front, Swindon will have enough with accomplished goalscorer Woolery waiting in the wings for his chance.
