Swindon Town and Leyton Orient fined by FA

Swindon Town and Leyton Orient have been fined by the FA for a fracas which occurred during Town’s 2-1 win over Orient on 4th October.

Both clubs had accepted a charge from the Football Association last week for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

The FA announced today that Swindon and Orient have been charged £5,500 and £4,000 respectfully.

The incident occurred in stoppage time during the League One clash after a challenge from Shane Lowry left Town’s Nathan Byrne prone before Orient’s Dean Cox poked the ball against the Town man’s head, sparking a mass brawl.
