Aldo Kalulu has stated his delight having made his first appearance in three months for Steve Cooper's Swansea side.

The forward is currently on-loan from Basel and came on for the final few minutes of Sunday's 5-1 defeat to high-flyers West Brom.

Despite the loss, it was a great moment for Kalulu who had not appeared for the side since getting injured back in August when the Swans beat Preston at the Liberty Stadium.

Kalulu was one of the few positives to come out of the defeat at the Hawthorns on Sunday, and he's now determined to go on and help the team win games.

Speaking to Swansea's official website, Kalulu said: “It’s good to be back in the first-team environment.

“It would have been better to make my comeback in a win but it’s been a long time coming.

“I was very happy to be back on the pitch. I hope to help the team by doing as much as I can. The main objective of mine and the team is to win some games.”

The Verdict

Kalulu is a big boost for Swansea as he offers another avenue of attacking quality after what has been a really poor period of results for the Swans. They need a lift in front of goal, and he could be the one to provide that in the attacking areas.

The Swans are at risk of their season stagnating, and will hope that they can pick up a few more results in the coming weeks to keep up their battle for the play-off places.

Kalulu is a very talented player and he will want to maintain that this is not a waste loan for both the club and himself.
