Swansea City target Scott McKenna has been given a £10m price tag by his current club, according to the Daily Record.

Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen are reportedly unhappy at losing their top stars for what they consider to be small sums of money, so will demand the exorbitant fee if they're to let him leave this summer.

They've already resisted a £2m bid from Hull City, but will now look to get five times that amount for the exciting 21-year old.

It is reported that Pittodrie owners are confident they can secure a club-record fee for the centre back, which would help fund the switch to a new £50m purpose-built stadium.

Whilst the fee will certainly put off the likes of Hull City, the recently-relegated Swans have been shuffling their squad around and expect to move a couple more out, with both Andre Ayew and Sam Clucas linked with big-money moves away. Coupled with parachute payments it makes a move for McKenna more likely.

New boss Graham Potter is preparing to watch McKenna in next week’s Europa League clash with Premier League side Burnley.

The Verdict

£10m is too much to pay for McKenna, he's had one season of football with Aberdeen but prior to that has played most his football for Ayr or Alloa.

If the bosses at Pittodrie think they're getting that sum for him they'll be sadly disappointed.
