At most clubs, loan stars are often tipped to go the furthest in their footballing pathway if they impress while away from their parent club, and Swansea City have two players who are rising to the task of Championship football lately.

Surridge has been provided more opportunities for the Swans so far this campaign by manager Steve Cooper, and the man on loan from AFC Bournemouth has risen to the task of being an impact substitute, including scoring a late winner over Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Swansea supporters will be watching their two loan stars grasp the bull by the horns this season as they are both clearly looking for a spot in a Premier League squad next season, and they will be delighted with the progress that they have both made over recent weeks.

20-year-old Wilmot and 21-year-old Surridge have started to come out of their shell on the pitch, Wilmot instructing the defenders around him where to be and not nervous to bark out orders to the more experienced players in the side, while Surridge is constantly demanding the ball with his movement up top.

Swans supporters know that their two loan stars this season won't be particularly expensive and they get two young players that are desperately eager to earn their trade in one of the hardest leagues on the continent.
