Swansea City are the latest club to express an interest in Leicester City's midfielder Andy King, according to the Leicester Mercury.

The Wales international has been targeted by Martin O'Neill as crucial to his revival of Nottingham Forest, whilst Darren Moore is also reported to be looking at the 30-year-old with a view to a loan deal.

That leaves the trio to battle out a three-way tug of war over the player, who is seemingly at the end of his career with the 2016 Premier League champions.

It will mark the end of a remarkable one club career in which King emerged from the youth ranks to make a staggering 379 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 62 times. He's represented them in three different divisions and now has five seasons of Premier League football under his belt.

He has played for one other club, albeit on loan. He joined Swansea last season to try to help them remain in the top flight, playing 11 times and scoring twice. He's made just one appearance this season for the Foxes under Claude Puel, the recent FA Cup tie with Newport County.

The Verdict

One the face of it, Forest or West Brom might seem a good move if he wants to fight for Premier League football this season, but that spell at Swansea might help swing him their way.

King still has plenty to offer and doubtlessly it will be a sad day when he finally leaves Leicester, who he's served so diligently for over a decade.
