Swansea City centre-back Kyle Bartley has praised Wolves after the sides met at Molineux in the FA Cup on Saturday, even claiming that Wolves are 'Barcelona in disguise'!

The game finished goalless in the third round tie, with each team finishing the game with ten men. However, Wolves had to cope for around half an hour a man light but didn't buckle.

In fact, Nuno Espirito Santo's men will be disappointed not to have knocked the Welsh side out, with the hosts missing several good chances and having the best of the game.

And, one man who was clearly impressed was Bartley. The ex-Leeds man made his first start since August after injury and journalist Tim Nash revealed what the Swansea man though of the runaway Championship leaders.

"They are Barcelona in disguise. They were very good. They've got a good plan, they show a lot of rotation of the ball and their manager has them very well drilled."

He added; "They keep the ball well, they attack well and I think they have invested really well. They've got some really good players and good luck to them."

The Verdict

Wolves did play well against Swansea on Saturday but it shows just how good they are that an opposition player will say that after a 0-0.

As well as that, this was a much-changed Wolves side that was missing key players such as Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota in particular, which again is testament to the manager that players can fill in and play the same way.

The two sides meet again on January 17 for the replay and Wolves will be hoping they can produce another strong performance with a result to match it.
