Swansea City are hoping to sign Norwich City’s Nelson Oliveira as Graham Potter looks to add more firepower to his squad.
The striker, who has been capped by Portugal 17 times over the years, is sure to be available having not featured at all for the Canaries this season.
Despite playing a part under Daniel Farke in the previous campaign, the two have not always seen eye-to-eye and he has been frozen out now.
And, Sun journalist Alan Nixon has revealed that the Welsh side are keen to do a deal that will see Oliveira come to the Liberty Stadium.
The 27-year-old has already had a spell with the Swans, having joined the club on a loan deal from Benfica back in January 2015 when they were a Premier League side.
However, it wasn’t the most successful spell as the former Rennes man grabbed just one goal and didn’t do enough to earn a permanent move as he signed for Nottingham Forest a few months later.
Oliveira would be joining a Swansea side that have been inconsistent this season, with Potter’s men currently 13th in the table and nine points behind the top six.
This would be an interesting move but you’d back Potter to be able to get the best out of Oliveira so it’s probably a risk worth taking.
The striker seems to be tough to manage but at his best he is a very, very good player at this level and can score goals.
Swansea play with a style that should suit him and it’s clear they need reinforcements in the final third.
