Swansea City are in talks with Fabio Borini over a move back to the Liberty Stadium after several years away from the Welsh side.

Borini was a real favourite of the Swans when at the club on loan as he helped fire them into the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers.

Indeed, he earned a move to Liverpool on the back of that spell in south Wales but never really managed to replicate his form at Anfield.

Since then, he's also spent time at both Sunderland and AC Milan but is currently a free agent and, at 29, is now looking for new employers.

It could well be the case, though, that his new club is one of his old ones as talks have begun over a move for the Italian:

The Verdict

Borini was very impressive during his time at Swansea when they were in the Championship and if he can find that form again if he joins he'll be a popular arrival.

Of course, it might be a bit of an 'if' at this stage but he'll know the club well and there is bound to be positive feeling around him in terms of the supporters seeing him back at the club.

He's a hard worker, and will give his all if he signs - let's just hope for him and the Swans that the goals flow too.
