Swansea City have moved to hit back at claims from Daniel James' agent that they wanted the winger out of the door at the firs sign of money.

The deal for James looked all set to be completed between Swansea and Leeds on Thursday, however, the Swans apparently pulled the plug on the move, and the fallout has continued into the rest of the week with various parties having their input.

However, things went a step further yesterday when James' agent claimed that Swansea 'made no attempt to keep the player, and at the first sign of money couldn't show him the door quick enough'.

The Swans though have moved to hit back at the claims from agent Manesseh, with a report from Talksport claiming the following has been released from the Swans.

“The claims from his agent are completely incorrect, and we are extremely disappointed with these comments.”

The situation around James and his future looks set to rumble on for some time now, with the Whites potentially looking at going back into the market during the summer to land the impressive James.

It would seem for now though that nobody appears to be taking responsibility for the failed move for James, and it's bound to have further comments passed on it during the coming weeks and months.

The Verdict

It's all getting a bit out of hand this one isn't it?

James is the one you have to feel sorry for in all of it, but ultimately he will have to crack on, get his head down, and put in quality performances for Swansea.

If he can continue to impress, then he will get his move eventually, whether that be to Leeds, or to the Premier League.
