Swansea will be preparing for life without Graham Potter, with the Swans boss set to depart the club in favour of a move to Brighton in the near future according to BBC Sport.

According to The Daily Mirror (May 20th, page 50), they have targeted a trio of managers to take charge ahead of next season, including Sunderland's Jack Ross.

Barnsley's Daniel Stendel and QPR assistant manager, John Eustace are also said to be considered for the job, which could become available in the coming days.

Eustace in particular seems to have made a good impression, after he was in charge of QPR when they thrashed the Swans 4-0 earlier in the season.

Although it could be tougher to appoint Stendel, as he's currently in charge of Barnsley, who have just won promotion into the Championship ahead of next season.

Jack Ross' future could be up in the air in the coming weeks, with the Sunderland boss leading his team out at Wembley in the League One play-off final against Charlton Athletic.

Potter had taken Swansea to a 10th place finish this season, and supporters will have had high hopes for him to take that momentum into next season, but it seems as though an announcement on his future is edging closer.

Swansea will be keen to appoint his potential successor in the near future, as they look to get their preparations for next year's campaign underway.

The Verdict:

They need to appoint a new manager at the earliest of opportunities.

With Potter set to depart, this will be a huge blow for Swansea, with key players potentially heading for the exit door when he does officially leave the club.

I'd be surprised if they could prize Stendel or Ross away, and would expect Eustace to be the favourite for the job.
