Swansea City will be hoping they can force themselves into the play-off positions before the Championship season reaches a conclusion later this year.

They're without a win in their last three league matches, and will know that results simply have to improve when they do return to action, if they're to stand any chance of finishing inside the play-off positions.

Swansea are currently sat 11th in the second tier standings, but are just three points adrift of sixth-placed Preston North End, who are struggling for any sort of consistency this season.

One player that has made a positive impact for the the Swans this season is midfielder Conor Gallagher, who signed on loan from Chelsea during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan with the Swans from Premier League giants, and will be hoping he can play his part in their push for a top-six finish this term under the guidance of Steve Cooper.

The midfielder has made ten appearances in total for Swansea this season, and has already been on hand to provide five assists as they continue to impress in the Championship.

Gallagher spent the first-half of this year's campaign on loan with relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic, and seemingly made a good impression before being sent out to Swansea for the remainder of this year's campaign.

The Verdict:

He'll be itching to get back onto the pitch.

Gallagher has made a relatively strong start to life with Swansea, and he'll be hoping to play his part in their push for the play-offs heading into the final nine games of this year's campaign.

If he can finish this season strongly, then it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise to see him challenging for a place in the Chelsea team in the future.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has already shown that he's willing to give younger players a chance in the first-team, and Gallagher could well be the next player to follow in the footsteps of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount in breaking into the Chelsea senior squad.
