Swansea City are interested in signing Heerenveen goalkeeper Warner Hahn, according to reports from Algemeen Dagblad.

The 27-year-old has been a fantastic servant for Heerenveen, making 63 appearances for the Eredivisie side since joining from Excelsior in 2017.

The Dutchman has spent the whole of his professional career in the Netherlands, but is now believed to have his heart set on a move abroad now the current Eredivisie campaign has ended.

With his contract coming to an end, it is claimed that both Swansea City, Goztepe and Anderlecht are showing interest in the shot-stopper, who would be available to sign on a free transfer.

Freddie Woodman has been an influential player for the Swans since joining on loan from Newcastle United in the summer, proving to be one of the best goalkeepers in the division.

But with his loan deal coming to an end sooner rather than later, it remains to be seen whether they can tempt the Magpies into giving Woodman back to them next term.

The Verdict

Hahn has racked up a load of appearances in his professional career and is no doubt an experienced player.

On a free transfer, it's certainly a risk-free signing and he's at a decent age in his career where he's reaching his prime.

It would obviously be a shame to lose Woodman as he has been a revelation since joining Swansea, but Hahn would be an experienced professional to bring in in his absence.
