Swansea are now pushing their way up the Championship table under boss Russell Martin and the former MK Dons boss will be eager for his side not to let things slip as the season draws on, with the side eager to bag a top six spot.

The team are starting to pick up some important wins and are hoping to try and push on towards the higher places in the league.

To do so, they may need to add to their squad when the winter window opens - and it looks like the club may already be preparing several January moves.

Who then, is being considered by the Swans in the winter transfer window?

Swansea one of a number of teams linked with Folarin Balogun

Swansea have, first of all, found themselves as one of the teams linked with a move for Folarin Balogun, as reported by Swansea Independent.

The striker is a man in demand, with the player himself looking like he could be on his way off to a new side in January in pursuit of first-team football.

They'll face competition for his signature, with several Championship sides circling but Swansea will be hoping to throw their hat into the ring - and that Balogun himself chooses them.

He's a forward that is viewed as having a lot of talent - and he could be just the addition that the club need in the winter window to get going in front of goal.

James McAtee loan swoop considered by the Swans

Another potential move is James McAtee from Man City on a loan deal, as reported by Wales Online.

The attacker is viewed as a big talent by those at the Etihad and has looked extremely impressive for the club's reserve side.

It has led to links to some of the biggest clubs in world football, with their rivals Man United even keen to try and snap him up.

However, Swansea's interest lies in giving the player gametime on a short-term basis and if they can land the youngster, it could be a huge coup for them for the rest of the season.

Russell Martin considering deal for Fisher

A final bit of transfer news involving Swansea sees the Welsh outfit considering a deal to bring in Andy Fisher from MK Dons.

As reported by Wales Online, the player is admired by his former boss and the manager is now keen to have a reunion with him when the winter transfer window opens its doors.

This deal would be on a permanent basis too, leaving the Dons without a talented shot-stopper but providing the Championship club with another exciting talent.

MK Dons would no doubt not want to lose him - but the lure of second tier football might be too much for the third tier side to deal with and Fisher may find himself on his way in the transfer window.
