Jazz Richards is training with Swansea City's Under-23s as he continues to search for a new club.

Richards has recently caused confusion amongst Swansea fans, after positing a picture onto his Instagram story of him wearing the club's training gear.

The defender also posted a second picture, captioned "Rolling back the years - let's go!".

Wales Online have revealed that Richards is training with the club's Under-23 side as he looks to build up his fitness in his bid to find a new club.

Laudrup? Rodgers? Who was the Swansea City manager when each of these 15 Swans moments happened?

There has been no indication that Swansea are looking to sign Richards, but they can do whenever they want due to him being available to sign on a free transfer.

Richards is a free-agent and is currently on the lookout for a new club after leaving Cardiff City at the end of last season.

The 29-year-old played 13 times for the Bluebirds in all competitions last term - 11 in the Championship - but left upon the expiration of his contract.

Sheffield Wednesday and Salford City are among a host of sides to have been previously linked with Richards, but he is yet to put pen to paper with a new club as of yet.

The Verdict

Richards could turn out to be a useful signing later on in the season, potentially.

Richards is an experienced player who is only 29, and he can play at full-back or at centre-half.

I think he'd be a perfect option to have as a right-sided centre-half in their 3-5-2 formation, so it remains to be seen what happens.
