Premier League side Swansea City have renewed their interest in Leeds United star Sam Byram, according to FLW sources.

Speculation surrounding the future of Byram refuses to go away with Sunderland heavily linked this summer as well as interest from a number of top flight clubs including Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal.

The 21-year-old, who has been rated at around £8million, has just a year left on his contract at Elland Road but Leeds are not interested in selling one of their star assets as they plan to make a push for the Premier League this coming season.

But every player has their price, and the Whites may reluctantly have to sell rather than letting Byram's contract run down and having to go to a tribunal.

The right-back, who played at right-wing for Leeds for the majority of last season, has made nearly 120 appearances in all competitions for the West Yorkshire side, scoring seven times and claiming 11 assists.

Swansea were linked with with a move for the youngster last summer and it looks as though manager Garry Monk is set to rekindle his interest.

He has money to spend still from the sale of Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in January and may try and test Leeds' resolve for Byram.
