Norwich City and Swansea City are among a host of clubs interested in signing Rajiv van la Parra on a free transfer, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old is available to sign on a free transfer following the termination of his contract at Red Star Belgrade in March, with a potential return to England believed to be on the cards.
The winger joined Red Star for £1.2m from Huddersfield last summer, and played 15 times including five appearances in the UEFA Champions League during his time in Serbia.
Have these 15 Swansea players been capped at senior international level?
Van la Parra is an experienced player at Championship level, winning promotion to the Premier League with both Wolves and Huddersfield in 2018 and 2017 respectively, as well as spending time on loan at Middlesbrough last season.
Now, it is said that Swansea and Norwich are interested in signing the attacker, with QPR, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall are also monitoring developments.
Swansea, Blackburn and Millwall sit within only three points or less of the Championship play-off places, and will be looking to break into the top-six once the season eventually comes to an end.
Van la Parra was impressive for both Huddersfield and Wolves, and on a free transfer I think he’d be a great addition for any of these sides.
He’s quick, agile and skilful on the ball and he has decent end product, and he’d suit the way these teams play.
Given that the state of the transfer market is likely to be very different this summer, he’d be a bargain addition on a free.
