Swansea City are interested in signing OH Leuven forward Thomas Henry, according to the Daily Mail.

It promises to be a busy summer at the Liberty Stadium, as Swansea look to win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs this season.

The Swans haven't struggled in front of goal by any means, with Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe scoring 30 goals between them.

But Steve Cooper is still on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer, with Thomas Henry on their radar, as per the Daily Mail.

Henry has been excellent for OH Leuven this season, scoring 21 goals in 31 Jupiler Pro League appearances, chipping in with six assists.

The 26-year-old is six-foot-four and would add plenty of aerial threat to their attacking line, and has another two years left on his contract.

Henry has scored 42 goals in 75 games for Leuven since joining from Tubize-Braine in 2019, and has attracted interest from Germany and Turkey this season.

Swansea travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley in the first leg of the play-off semi-finals on Monday, before hosting the Tykes next Saturday.

The Verdict

Henry would bring something different to what Swansea currently have.

Ayew and Lowe are quite dynamic, pacey options to have in the final third, whilst Henry looks strong and good in the air with his height.

It's good to have a blend of attacking options, though, and at 26, he still has potential and would be an exciting addition.

His goalscoring record in Belgium is eye-catching and it would be an interesting signing for the Swans.
