Turkish Super League side Fenerbahce are exploring the option of signing Swansea City winger Luciano Narsingh on a free transfer, according to reports from Fotomac via Sport Witness.

The 28-year old signed for Swansea from PSV Eindhoven in 2017, but has since endured an incredibly frustrating time at the Welsh club.

The Dutchman has made a total of just eight league starts for the Swans, and has been limited to just two league appearances this season having fallen massively out of favour at the Liberty Stadium.

Narsingh's contract with the Welsh club is set to expire at the end of the season, and given his lack of first-team action this season, it looks likely that he will become a free agent in the summer.

And now, reports claim that Fenerbahce, who were linked with his signature last summer, are set to go back in for the experienced wide-man in the summer.

The Turkish club's sporting director Damien Comolli is believed to be in talks to sign the Dutchman, ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Swansea boss Graham Potter will be looking to get rid of the deadwood in the summer, as he looks to guide his side to a position higher than 10th spot next season.

The Verdict

I think Swansea should just cut their losses and let Narsingh leave on a free this summer.

His wages are likely to be quite high having signed for the club when they were in the Premier League, and he isn't going to break into the first-team anytime soon.

At 28 years of age, he needs to be playing regularly, and a move away would allow him to do so.
