Swansea City forward, Andre Ayew is being linked with a potential move to French side, Bordeaux according to Football Ghana.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan with Turkish giants, Fenerbahce, where he scored five goals in 29 league appearances in a loan spell that wasn't as successful as he would have hoped for.

Ayew has made two league appearances for the Swans so far this season, and got an assist to his name in a well-deserved win over QPR in midweek.

There was a sizeable void up front for Swansea earlier this month, with Oliver McBurnie leaving the club to join newly-promoted Sheffield United.

But even with McBurnie's departure, Ayew isn't likely to be forcing his way into the starting XI on a regular basis anytime soon, with the likes of Nathan Dyer likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order in Steve Cooper's team.

It remains to be seen as to whether Bordeaux's interest in Ayew is serious, but it's set to be an interesting few weeks ahead as Ayew's future looks to be resolved.

Swansea are next in action against Birmingham City this weekend, in what could potentially be a tricky test for Steve Cooper's side as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

The Verdict:

I think he could be on the move sooner rather than later.

Ayew clearly isn't in Cooper's imminent plans for the first-team, and I think it would be the best move for both parties if he was to move on in the near future.

Swansea have better options available to them in Borja Baston, and Ayew's chances of a regular spot in the first-team aren't likely if I'm being honest.
