Swansea City are reportedly keen on bringing in big Sweden striker Ola Toivonen as Graham Potter looks to bolster his squad ahead of Friday's deadline, according to La Depeche.

It has been claimed that the 32-year-old has been missing from Toulouse's training sessions for the past three days and a move from France is apparently inevitable.

Swansea are not alone in their hunt for the big Swede, however.

Melbourne Victory, the reigning A-League champions, are reportedly keen to bring in the striker as well according to the World Game.

The Swede played 23 times in Ligue 1 for Toulouse last season but failed to score in any of his appearances and scored seven in 35 the season before.

Swansea currently only have two fit options in attack in the form of Oli McBurnie and Joel Asoro.

McBurnie is in red-hot form at the moment scoring three goals in his opening six but Potter will be keen to take some of the pressure off and there is no certainty of what sort of player Wilfried Bony will be when he makes his return.

The verdict

It is good that Potter is looking to bring in another striker as I think it is definitely needed, but I do not think it would be a disaster if they missed out on the Swede.

He could be a decent signing, but his attitude and goalscoring record last year should be a concern for the Swans.
