Swansea City are set to sign Kasey Palmer on a season-long loan deal from Championship rivals Bristol City according to Football Insider.
Palmer made 25 league appearances for Bristol City last season, as they finished 12th in the second-tier standings, but he has since struggled for regular game time.
The midfielder has only been included in the matchday squad on one occasion so far this term, which dropped a sizeable hint that his short-term future could lie away from Ashton Gate.
Palmer signed for Bristol City in 2019, and has gone on to make 46 appearances in total for the Robins over the years, although his future with the club remains up in the air.
A move to Swansea is likely to be tempting for the former Chelsea youngster as well, with Steve Cooper’s side currently sat fourth in the Championship table.
The Swans narrowly missed out on promotion into the Premier League last season, as they were beaten by Brentford in their play-off semi-final last term.
Swansea are set to return to action this weekend, when they take on struggling Huddersfield Town in a match they’ll be expected to pick up three points from.

I like this imminent signing from a Swansea perspective.
I still think that Palmer could be a useful option to call upon for Bristol City, so I’m surprised that they’re willing to loan him out this season, especially to a club that are likely to be challenging them for promotion into the Premier League.
Swansea need additional depth in midfield this term, and I think Palmer would be more than capable of challenging for a regular spot in the starting XI this season under Steve Cooper’s management.
This is a deal that makes complete sense for the Swans on Deadline Day.
