The availability of Oliver Ntcham, Michael Obafemi, and Liam Walsh will be assessed on Friday, according to Swansea Independent.

The trio, who now find themselves in a race against time with the South Wales derby fast-approaching, could all return against Cardiff City, however, Sunday's contest may be deemed too soon.

Both Ntcham and Obafemi have received intensive treatment during this international break, but despite the magnitude of Sunday's match, they will not be rushed back into action.

The pair have shown plenty of promise when on the pitch thus far, with Ntcham particularly impressing with his classy displays from the midfield.

Walsh has struggled to make a real impact at the Swansea.com Stadium but is a player with undeniable talent who can certainly come good as the season progresses.

The verdict

Ntcham has shown glimpses of real quality when on the pitch thus far this season, and he possesses an edge that can help The Swans impose themselves on this weekend's opponents.

Obafemi's pace, intelligent running, and ability when in possession, all make him a player who could grow in importance as the season progresses.

The 21-year-old has shown some early promise like Ntcham, and it is expected that he can play a big part this time out.

Walsh finds himself on the same boat, that he can go on to enjoy an excellent campaign, although, he might find it tougher than the aforementioned duo for regular football.

Russell Martin will know the importance of having the three players back available, but he is not reliant on them, as he has considerable talent already within his squad.
