Swansea City defender Cameron Carter-Vickers says he and his teammates plan to use the atmosphere at Elland Road as motivation during tonight's game.

Carter-Vickers was a part of the Sheffield United squad who beat the Whites 2-1 on their own patch last season and will be determined to do it again with Swansea.

“Whenever you play at Elland Road it is a good atmosphere and they get right behind their team," the 21-year-old told the Swans' official website.

“They are the atmospheres you want to play in.

"Big stadiums and loud crowds only inspire us further. We have to use that as motivation in tonight’s game."

Carter-Vickers made the move on loan to the Liberty Stadium from Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer on a season-long loan, playing in 15 of the club's 31 matches so far this season.

Graham Potter's side currently sit in in 11th place whilst their hosts occupy second but have won just twice in their last seven matches.

With Swansea just seven points outside the play-off places they are not about to just let Marcelo Bielsa's side pick up the three points, however, and it is set to be a cracking match.

The verdict

I think this is the only attitude that visiting teams can take to Elland Road if they want to win.

Leeds fans create probably the best atmospheres of any set of supporters at their own ground and silencing them is a big step on the way to winning.

Norwich showed how effective visiting sides can be and now it is up to the Swans.
