Swansea have had a really good start to the season so far, and have already surprised quite a sides in the Championship.

The Swans appointed a new manager over the summer as Graham Potter left the club to join Premier League side Brighton. Steve Cooper took over and he was a relative unknown to supporters but he has done an excellent job in the first 16 games of the Championship campaign.

The Welsh side have been picking up points all season, and even during a bad run, they bounced back to record a much needed victory over their rivals Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds have been really poor this campaign, and could actually take a leaf out of Swansea's book in terms of the way they have a set style mixed with belief and effort. The Championship is often won on narrow margins and every game is often competitive where ever you are in the division.

Swansea seem to have settled excellently and slide under the radar. This is a side that has won at Elland Road, and beaten sides such as QPR and Charlton away from home, showing that they can compete right at the top end of the table.

All the upheaval that's been going on at Cardiff will be a great sight to see for Swans fans, but this next appointment is vital for the Bluebirds in ensuring they can move on up the table. Supporters of the side will hate to say it, but they know they should follow the Swans' footsteps and appoint a young enthusiastic manager who likes to play offensive football.

This dynamic style of play could well take Swansea to the play-offs, and if they have a good run they may even do better than that. It's a way of playing and going about their business that is a breathe of fresh air from all the big money spent and more direct approaches that teams like to play.

They have a mix of both, but show on the pitch that a lot of the time belief and confidence is more important than player performances. Cardiff need to look at the Swans, and rebuild again just like they did.
