In his third spell at The Liberty Stadium, winger Andre Ayew finally appears back to his best after a tough few years on the pitch in struggling to recapture his form.

After a loan spell at Fenerbahce last season where the 29-year-old only scored five goals in 38 appearances for the Turkish giants, Ayew is now back enjoying his football under new Swansea manager Steve Cooper and is playing with a huge smile on his face so far this campaign.

The winger netted his first league goal of the season last night at the eighth attempt after having a goal ruled out for the ball going out of play in the team move earlier on in the second half, and Ayew's winning goal displayed his poacher attributes which is how he's forged a career, coming off the wing and scoring poacher efforts for his side.

However, it was more Ayew's overall performance on Wednesday night that was the most impressive thing, the winger looking like he was back to his old self as he terrorised defenders with his pace and trickery on the ball, not letting up as he continued to storm towards goal and search for the goals that Swansea needed to take them back top of the table.

It was then more of Ayew's second half performance in front of goal that showed how much the forward is now enjoying his football under former England U17s World Cup winning manager Cooper. Ayew nodded in from close range but the goal was disallowed, before volleying in from six yards to take the points home for Swansea after some good movement in the box.

Steve Cooper has put his trust in Ayew to deliver the goods despite the easy option of offloading the striker permanently or out on loan in the summer to reduce the wage bill, however he has stuck by him and Ayew is now repaying that faith with some good performances as he is performing better than he has done in recent years, and the Ghanian will be happy following his recent displays, even running over to the Swansea dugout in celebration to embrace Cooper after netting the winner.
