Sheffield United have been superb this season in League One, and are 10 points clear of third place heading into their final seven games.

Promotion should be very much sealed in the coming weeks, and the Blades fans can finally look forward to a season back in the Championship.

Part of the big success for the Blades this season has been the performances of certain players who simply did not do it last year, or have emerged from the shadows to become key members of the squad.

Chris Wilder has managed to merge experienced players with younger players desperate to prove themselves, and this formula has proved to be massively successful thus far at Bramall Lane.

With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO Sheffield United players who have come from nowhere this season and been in excellent form...

Paul Coutts

In the wilderness and placed on the transfer list when Wilder took over, Coutts has been absolutely superb for the Blades this term.

He is arguably part of the best midfield pairing in the league with John Fleck, and has even won the trust of Wilder to the point of captaining the club and taking penalties in the absence of Billy Sharp.

Simon Moore

A very much unheard of player when United signed him at the beginning of the season, goalkeeper Moore has proved to be a superb acquisition by Wilder.

Moore was on the bench for Cardiff in the main, but has firmly made the number one jersey his own with Sheffield United, and produced excellent performance after excellent performance to cement himself as a firm fan favourite.
