With Cardiff City reportedly eyeing a move for Birmingham forward Isaac Vassell, Bobby Reid's future with the Bluebirds is in limbo on transfer deadline day.

The 26-year-old arrived at the Cardiff City Stadium from Bristol City last season, signing for a reported fee of around £10m.

The versatile attacker, able to play up top or in behind the striker, scored just five goals in 30 games for Neil Warnock's side last term, but could now be set to depart the Welsh club.

Surprisingly enough, Bristol City could be Reid's next destination - that's according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon, who claims that the Robins are just one of many sides interested in the forward.

Reid netted 21 goals in all competitions in the 2017/18 campaign before making the move to Cardiff, making just less than 160 appearances during his lengthy stay at Ashton Gate.

Neil Warnock is believed to be on the lookout for a new forward ahead of today's 5pm deadline, but selling a proven goalscorer at this level to a potential promotion rival would certainly raise eyebrows.
