Nottingham Forest are in good form at the moment and they'll be looking forward to seeing how they get on once the international break is over.

The Reds have been flying and scoring goals for fun in recent weeks and if they can keep that up, and tighten things up at the back, there is no reason why they won't be able to challenge for the top six.

We've been thinking, though, about the players that could leave the City Ground in January and so, with that in mind, here is who we came up with...

Sam Rourke

Apostolos Vellios.

The Greek striker just isn't getting a look in at the City Ground, and has been plying his trade for the under-23's.

You have to remember Vellios was performing in the Premier League for Everton not too long ago, so he'll surely be desperate for a move away.

Surely he'll be off in January?

Alfie Burns

With many still waiting to see if Eric Lichaj has his contract extended, his future could be in serious doubt come January.

Lichaj is out of contract at the City Ground in the summer, and although the defender is a popular figure, the club have not yet moved to extend his deal.

The way things stand, there is a real possibility Forest could cash-in rather than watch Lichaj leave for free in the summer.

Chris Gallagher

Apostolos Vellios.

Quite simply, Mark Warburton doesn't rate him. It might be the right decision with the players he has, but the Greek forward isn't going to play.

He rarely makes the squad, and didn't feature in the two previous Carabao Cup ties.

Despite this, he is in Greece's squad that could qualify for the World Cup, so he will no doubt welcome his inevitable exit in January.

Adam Simeoni

Not fearing the axe, but Matty Cash needs to get himself out on loan.

The youngster has failed to break into the first team after an injury in preseason ruled him out for several months, but back and playing well for the reserves, Cash is ready for first team action.

A loan move could do his Forest chances the world of good.
