Aston Villa manager Dean Smith will face a selection dilemma ahead of his side's game against Blackburn Rovers after the international break.

Axel Tuanzebe's imminent return to fitness following a lengthy injury lay-off has created a predicament for Smith, with the 21-year-old expected to be ready for the clash at Villa Park a week tomorrow.

The on-loan Manchester United defender has returned to training and is thought to be making good progress towards a comeback, with one eye firmly on Villa's play-off push.

If he does recover in time for the game with Blackburn, it is unclear whether Tuanzebe will make an immediate return to the Villa starting line-up, with Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause both having performed well at centre-back in recent games.

The player's return will also mean that Villa will have six loan players available with Hause, Mings, Anwar El Ghazi, Tammy Abraham, Tom Carroll and Tuanzebe himself all on the Championship club's books.

With only five loan players allowed in a matchday squad, Smith will be forced to drop one of them from the team.

Gregg Evans, a sports reporter for the Birmingham Mail, shared this message on his personal Twitter feed earlier today, asking Villa fans who they think is going to be dropped from the side and it did not take them long to respond.
