Championship regulars Wolves are having a disappointing season so far to say the least.

Lingering down near the foot of the table, the Molineux club have already got rid of Walter Zenga this term, replacing him with Scottish manager Paul Lambert.

Following a summer takeover and influx of what looked exciting players, expectations were high at Wolves.

However, things have not worked out as yet.

New man Lambert will be looking to address his squad in January, and one area to look at bulking up is the striking department.

Here, FLW writer Lee Connor looks at FOUR strikers who Wolves could look to sign in January…

Jerome Sinclair

Pacey strike ace Sinclair was seen as one of the country’s top talents when he left Liverpool for Watford in the summer.

However, he has experienced very little game time in the Premier League, so a move could be wise.

Sinclair is talented, and Wolves might well be able to get the best out of him should he make the jump to Molineux.

Hal Robson-Kanu

Robson-Kanu will be staying at Reading

The man who lit up the European Championships in the summer has failed to do anything of note for West Brom thus far.

Kanu seems suited to Championship level football though, and a move to Wolves could well be good for him.

He works hard, knows where the net is, and is exactly the sort of player Paul Lambert would like in his squad

Oumar Niasse

Everton man Niasse has struggled to make any sort of impact since joining the Premier League club last year.

A spell in the Championship though might well serve him well, and a club like Wolves could be ideal for him.

There is no doubt Niasse can be a good player, but he does need some game time under his belt first.

Sam Winnall

If Paul Lambert wants someone at Wolves who knows where the net is and is used to the English game, then Winnall could be his man.

Barnsley would be a difficult club to get him off, but with Wolves’ resources, they might be able to prize him away.

Winnall is a top poacher who looks set for bigger and better things, and Wolves could well be that stepping stone he needs.
