Life under Ian Holloway hasn't got off to the greatest of starts at Queens Park Rangers.

The R's have managed to win once in three games since Holloway's arrival, losing the other two games, and sit 17th in the Championship standings on 23 points.

With the January transfer window looming, now is the perfect time to bring in fresh, new talent, and get rid of the deadwood that are underachieving.

One thing that is lacking in the R's' ranks is a proven, prolific goalscorer, and despite scoring 20 times in the league this season, their top scorer, midfielder Tjaronn Chery, has 4 goals to his name.

QPR cannot rely on the Dutchman all year round, especially if a club lures the talisman away from Loftus Road in January, therefore they NEED to sign a striker, as the likes of Idrissa Sylla and Conor Washington have been huge disappointments.

With that being said, FLW writer George Harbey here identifies FOUR strikers that Ian Holloway should definitely look to consider signing in January...

Scott Hogan

There are only a few teams in the Championship that haven't declared an interest in Hogan, and the R's should definitely be one of them high profile clubs that should look to sign the prolific Brentford forward.

The 24-year old is the league's second highest goalscorer thus far this term, netting 11 times, and he has scored a remarkable 18 goals in 26 appearances for the Bees.

Even more impressively, the forward netted 7 times in 7 appearances for the West London side last season, on his return from ankle ligament injury that sidelined him for 8 months of the 2015/16 campaign.

Matty Taylor

Although delving into League One for strikers didn't really work out for the R's last time around when they purchased Conor Washington from Peterborough, this a move that would undoubtedly pay off.

Taylor has netted 58 times in 106 games for Bristol Rovers, including 27 of those which came last term, where helped the Gas to promotion from League Two, whilst also outscoring every single player in the Football League.

And he has replicated his fine goalscoring record thus far this season too, and is the joint second-highest goalscorer in League One with 12 goals to his name; this signing is a must.

Jordan Rhodes

Jordan Rhodes is another one of those strikers who has been linked with no end of Championship clubs in January.

The 26-year old finds himself surplus to requirements at Premier League side Middlesbrough, despite reaching double figures in his last 4 seasons in the Championship.

Rhodes scored a staggering 40 times across all competitions in the 2011/12 season for Huddersfield Town, before a sealing a move to Blackburn Rovers, where he scored 28 times, 25 times, 21 times, and 18 times in 4 successive campaigns in the second tier.

Rhodes looks to be certainly moving away from the Riverside in January, and Ian Holloway should definitely look to sign him.

Zach Clough

Clough is another one of those who is a risk, having found himself in League One with high flying Bolton Wanderers.

But 21-year old forward, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, netted 13 times in 2 seasons in the Championship with the Trotters, and has also scored 7 times in the third tier this term too.

Clough has brilliant potential, and he should definitely be on Ian Holloway's radar in the January transfer window.
